Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics, Alasdair Santini , recently attended and ran The “Core Skills in Orthopaedics Course” last week in Liverpool between the 17th and 19th March.

This was a three day Royal College of Surgeons of England course for core trainees about to commence on their higher surgical training. The course covered all the basics of elective orthopaedic and trauma practice in a series of lectures and practicals.

The course teached the delegates to understand the basic building blocks of orthopaedic practice  and allowed them to build up their knowledge as they progress through their training.
