Spire Liverpool Hospital given a clean bill of health by CQC inspectors

Spire Liverpool Hospital was recently inspected by the independent regulator of health care in England, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and rated as performing well overall with a service regarded as outstandingly caring.

The CQC checks that healthcare providers in England are complying with the government’s standards of quality and safety. The recent inspection at Spire Liverpool Hospital focused on how safe, caring, responsive and well-led the hospital was in the service delivered to both out-patients and in-patients. Each area was individually assessed and an overall rating given to the hospital.

The CQC concluded that the Spire Liverpool Hospital achieved all levels of compliance and that the overall service at both the hospital and Spire One Penny Lane was performing well and meeting all the CQC’s expectations. The inspectors singled out the caring nature of the service as deserving the highest rating of ‘outstanding’. *

John Davidson, founder of the bone and joint centre said “We’re really pleased about the outcome, receiving this seal of approval from our industry regulator shows we provide a quality healthcare service that is focused on comprehensive patient centred care”.

* Rating options include outstanding, good, requires improvement, inadequate and no rating
