Vätternrundan Cycle Ride in Sweden – Saturday 15th June

Well done to our very own Peter Brownson who completed the Vätternrundan Cycle Ride in Sweden last Saturday 15th June.

It is the largest recreational cycle race in the world at 300 km long with the course following the shore line of the beautiful Lake Vättern.

Early starters of the race can see the sun set and rise over the lake during the ride as they cycle through the night into the next day.

Vätternrundan starts and finishes in Motala  which is a 2 hour drive from Stockholm. There were about 24,000 riders this year from approximately 15 countries. Here is a picture of Peter (third from the left) with his group of 4 at the finish line.
